Deniable Privacy Policy
Deniable is a story game published by WBD Publishing, LLC ("we", "us"), on iPhone, iPad and Android. This policy explains what the app does with information about you. The short version: it collects nothing.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no in-app purchases and no tracking. It does not use your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos, and it does not send any information to us or to anyone else. It makes no network requests.
What stays on your device
The game keeps your progress through the chapters, the Record of what witnesses have written about you, the pages from the book you have found, and whether sound is on. All of it is stored only on your device, inside the app, and is never uploaded. You can erase it from the About screen, and deleting the app deletes it.
Sound and vibration
The game plays its own sounds and can make your phone or tablet vibrate. Both can be turned off on the title screen. Neither involves any information about you.
Links out of the app
The About screen has one link, to the WBD Publishing website. It opens in your device’s web browser, outside the app.
App stores
You download and pay for Deniable through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Those companies handle your purchase and account under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your name, payment details or other personal information from them, only anonymous, combined sales and download figures. If you have chosen to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple or Google may pass us anonymous crash reports; these do not identify you.
Your rights and deleting your data
Because the app collects nothing and the game has no account, there is no personal information held by us to access, correct or delete. Everything the game stores is on your device, and you can erase it from the About screen or by uninstalling the app.
Children
Deniable is written for older teens and adults and is not directed at children. The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
